Cook azuki beans with sugar to make azuki porridge, then add mochi, shiratama dango (sweet mochi dumplings), or candied chestnuts.
It’s called gozen-shiruko when using koshi-an (strained bean paste) and inaka-shiruko when using tsubu-an (crunchy bean paste).
